BIO
Calum graduated from Kingston with a degree in illustration and animation. He quickly attracted the attention of MTV, where he was hired as an illustrator but moved into directing idents for the network. He produced a series of award winning work for MTV before freelancing on a variety of mainstream brands including Channel 4 and Living/Bravo/Virgin1.

His first short film ‘Worship’ produced in 2010, is a stunning piece that explores Jungian ideas and the collective subconscious, it won awards on both sides of the Atlantic. This was followed by ‘Stamen’ in late 2011, which received 400,000 Vimeo views. 2012 saw him direct two short films: ‘82’ with Nick Moran, which won 5 festivals within 3 months of completion including Rushes Soho Shorts Jury Award, Best Drama and Best Film at Van D’Or and best Screenplay and Director at Colchester Film Festival and Liquid Spirit which is premiered in October 2013.

Calum spent the summer of 2013 working with writer Tom Rob Smith to direct a trailer for his new novel ‘The Farm’, which went on to win a Silver cristal at the Cristal Festival. He also won a huge global campaign for Russian Standard Vodka and was asked to speak and showcase his work at BBDO’s Directors Lounge in Dusseldorf.
